If your ATM or Debit card is lost or stolen, call The Bank of Herrin at 618-942-6666 during regular business hours. Please call CSI after hours at 1-844-202-5333 to report your missing card.
The Bank of Herrin utilizes a card monitoring service. As unusual activity is detected in the network, the bank is notified of cards that are at high risk for fraud. When we receive notification, we begin contacting our customers. It is important that we have updated phone numbers for each customer. After speaking with you, we will close your card and order you a new card. If you have questions, or special needs, please feel free to ask when we call or call and speak with one of our staff.
If unusual activity is detected on a card, our card monitoring department will notify you and ask you to verify a transaction. They will never ask for your card number, account number, or social security number.
If you have a change of information (phone number or address) please update it with the bank as soon as the change takes place. We cannot contact you with outdated information. You can easily submit a change of information form through our online banking or just stop in our Herrin, Carterville, or Marion locations and talk to one of our personal bankers.
It’s always a good idea to plan ahead and let us know if you are going on a trip and intend to use your debit card while away. Call our Herrin branch at 618-942-6666 and speak with Ann to let her know you will be traveling so your card isn’t flagged or frozen when transactions come through your account from another state or country.
If you get a replacement card in the mail with the same card number but a new expiration date, you can call and activate it over the phone if you want your PIN number to stay the same. Call 1-877-437-7461 and choose option 5, then option 5 again. You will enter your 16 digit card number and possible your 8 digit date of birth, then your new card will be activated.
If you get a replacement card WITH A NEW CARD NUMBER you must come into our Herrin, Marion or Carterville locations to activate the card and select your PIN number.
